How much are the coachs again as I think I might have to partake of the extra action.

Off the top of my head I think it's 8mc per coach and you have to confirm if its offensive , defensive or support.

I might just have to have a go then. So what would you say is better defence / Offensive / or Support?

All coaches can use each action but get a bonus die if it matches their speciality. Support is only any use if you have purchased cheerleaders. I think a defensive coach gives more flexibility but might fail on offensive plays if you can't roll a 5+ with 3 dice. I have the offensive coach so get an extra die but I'm them limited in defence and there is a defensive bonus if you double. It also depends on your team, you seem to be scoring lots anyway so having a coach that will help your players survive longer might be more useful.

So it was a top of the table clash against the Black Sun Amazons. I had quite a large underdog bonus so I decided to try a giant out for size and the teleporting guard Dozer joined my team for the match.
The match I'm used to getting a hard hitting first turn with the Orx guards but on this occasion a combination of bad dice and my opponents use of running interferance my forst rush was pretty much nulified. Things improved as the game went on and at one point there was only one of my oponents team on the pitch. It was a high scoring back and forth match and the offensive coach payed of again having a hard in all of the golins scored. During the match 1 scored 1x2pts, 2x3pts and 1 x 4 points - who says the Marauders are are low scoring team. My guard Black Death added another kill to his tally and he is making it his personal mission to make the team have the highest kill tally.
My thought on Dozer the giant Was absolutly dominant. Being able to teleport out of attacks to the back arc meant my opponent had no way to keep control, it was only my overconfidence teleporting myself into a slam I realised it was a sucker punch, my opponent called a foul and Dozer was sent of for 2 rushes and I was never in the position to bring her on again. Again I think her impact was bosted by the offensive coach as the extra action was invaluable to make up for her slow speed. I think the big weekness of the giant is that you have one less player on the pitch and I think avoidance would be the best tactic against them.
Overall this was a great game and the result could have gone anyway right up until my last rush.

So that did not work out to well I got one game last night and unfortantlly it was my first loss. Now I was playin a marauder team and they where tough.
Well first what went wrong: 1) was my dice rolling with I believe three attempts to pick up the ball ending in dismal failure and this is on 3dice needing fours bad luck or what.
2)I had the misfourtune to be facing a giant who could telaport and what I did not realise would telaport if you tried to slam her in the back and that was booth a shock and it was a nuisance. Also I then wasted half of my first turn actions setting up to hit someone from behind who could not be hit from behind. I must be honest that I got very lucky and was able to get the giant sent off after a couple of rushes.
3)A bit of bad planning on my part where I did not leave grabbing the ball until I had undertaken all the other actions I was going to.
4)Forgetting once to not have someone in the line of fire when the ball comes onto the pitch.
5)Trying to play hardball against Marauder Gaurds never a good idea.
6)Striker doint the Tango with a Maruader Gaurd and geeting killed for it.
Okay and what went right.
1) Using my streangth increased jack to block worked well and at one point he even put a marauder gaurd out.
2) Using said Jack to score twice deep in the field to grab big scores.
3) Starting to see ways of blocking the opposistion.
4) Use of the coaching dice what went well.
5) Spotting the oppertunity to send of the Giant.
This was the hardest match I had to date and the score went booth ways but in the end I lost out due to having most of my team on the floor and a very good set of scorring goblin jacks.

I would say everyone should be careful with the use of coaching dice as in the last two games my oppenants have rushed through their dice ending up with them then unable to chuck them in when needed.
I would also say that the cards can be very effective as at least twice a card allowed me to score and score big.
I also got say the running interferance skill is a major part of the team and was used to good effect at least twice during the game.

Point 5 of what went wrong was no doubt due to the last time you ran into a marauder team gave you a false impression

its going to be interesting seeing how Marauders vs Marauders play. I've been used to smashing my way through things and having the advantage when it comes to Slams. I wonder how it will be when the other team can hit with the same force! Will the teams remember that there is a ball or will it be the ultimate slugfest?

Dan I would agree you gave me a false impression I want my money back I also realised that I was so ahead of the curve by how many games I played vie others who had often only got none or only one game in me being away from the league for two weeks means I may actually loose the title for awhile of leader of the league but I will get it back especially if the marauder teams knock each other off.

I think you will still be sitting atop the table as you might have a loss but your other matches have been landslides. I'm still 5 points behind you but played 2 less games so to take top spot I need to win both by landslides, not an easy thing with no strikers!

you lot are forgetting the space monkeys are just lulling you all into a false sense of security and they will be victorious . They haven't played a game yet using their underdog bonuses . i think they may be a different team with some outside assistance . Watch out the monkeys are about !
