Hi all, Its the evil git again. Now this is a subject I know was discusssed on Facebook and has been discussed on and off by the club founders but I just wanted to see just out of intrest who would want a club t-shirt and what would people like on it?? e.g. symbol and colour??

So no one has any idea what they want on a t-shirt.
I mean would you like your name or nickname on it??
What colour would you like??
A symbol?? (Fantasy/Sci-fi/Historic/hastings/bexhill)??
Hey you could all have a t-shirt with my face on that would be great.
Seriously would you even want a T-shirt and don't be shy??

The idea of a badge or logo has been talked about, my fav was something fairly simple and non-game system specific involving the Bayeux tapestry.

I was thinking maybe a fantasy creature shot in the eye with the arrow sticking out. And maybe 1066 wargaming above or on the back??
Also could get people's nicknames below??

Personalised shirts are expensive. A run of generic ones, less so - but still enough of a financial commitment that it would have to be done right. Plus you'd need assorted sizes in different quantities...
Essentially what you want is a decent logo, the club name (if not incorporated into the logo) and possibly some sort of silly quote. A goblinoid shot with an arrow in the eye is generic enough, if you start trying to represent all the many games it gets ridiculous.

As Alex said t-shirts required different sizes etc, if you wanted something simpler you can get patches made that anyone could add to their own tshirt/bag etc. It might be cheaper and simpler alternative.

Yeah a patch could work and a generic T-shirt could also work.
Also what colour/s would we go with for the club??
My vote is for a forest green.

HI a club tee shirt would be great, but who is willing to organise this little venture, which will involve a logo (maybe a little comp to choose) colour ? sizes cost ? collecting money (payment)? and great idea about nicknames i didn't know lew's was "forrest gump" no seriously nick names " really not a good idea " unless you want to walk around with a tee shirt with some made up nick name on it like " wolfbane " (tit) just my two little pennies " but if you want tee shirts then go for it " and "good luck" like we said at the beginning it's ur club as well and if you want club t shirts then all you have to do is sort one out

Right no nick names??
But do people want a T-shirt or do they want a patch or just not bothered that is what we need to know??
Also what colour/s do people want and do we have anyone any good at drawing??
I have had a look at some places and we can be looking at between £10-15 a top as a rough guide. Bulk buying may get us a discount as well. The logo though would have to be simpel as anythingcomplex else would increase the price??

lew i am more than happy for you to undertake this little project (as you seem to be well up for it) i would like a dark blue t shirt with white writing/logo on breast pocket area maybe ? nothing to flash maybe old english "1066 wargaming" style and maybe a club logo on opposite arm sleeve ... really dont want to go for the cheap flaming skull with a arrow through it ( lets go classy with it ) unless people want super flaming skulls with arrows ..... lol WHY NOT POST UP ON FB AND SEE WHAT THE CLUB THINKS ....

I feel that some sort of arrow should be involved.

I know some of you have a anti- GW thing but a spacemarine tactical squad arrow could work AS that is still the number 1 game at the club and a very simple design ....maybe with 1066 under it in roman numerals MLXVI

No. No systems, no companies, just a simple catch all fantasy/sci-fi reference. A goblin, a dragon, a droid of some sort - but anything that looks 'Norman Conquest' would be the best.
