I think there good - there is a 4th option for when you playing with Tac missions which give you better chances in scoring VPS but all of then seemed to offer some use rather then in 6th where some were just rubbish!

Yep. Tactical traits for maelstrom of war would/could swing it in your favour so much that it would be very hard to catch up.

Can anyone help me out with some rules queries as I don't have the book. 1) is the allies force org chart still the same for bound armies ie 1 hq / troop and then one more of each selection except hq? 2) does interceptor still fire at the end of the movement phase and then can't fire next turn? 3) is the deep strike mishap the same?

Hey Neil,
1) yes - your correct - if taken as a Bound army the allies get the 'objective secured' ability like bound armies do too
2) yep - no change on interceptor
3) still the 1 = dead 2-3 =opponent places 4-6 = ongoing reserves

Thanks for the info. Just mulling over ideas for tournament list and whether I need to paint any of my vast miniatures reserve. A couple more - Are cavalry, beast and bike movement the same especially with regard to terrain? Are the disembark rules still 6" and only if vehicle has moved <6"?

Thanks again. I think my eldar will be taking a back seat for the tournament. It'll be marines or chaos. Chaos need more work to bring them up to scratch so it depends on how I get on.

Played a game last night an it was subtle but very good changes.
Psychic phase was not all doom and gloom like people are calling it was a nice addition that I used well.
What I did notice was that Vector strike has changed massively. Toning down its effectiveness against anything on the ground. Which changed how my Hell Drake performed.
But the changes are good - the flying MC changes how you use them and also the vehicle damage tweak meant we saw 11 vehicles destroyed (8 of which were open topped) and only a single one exploded. Which did speed up things.
So far so good the tweaks are good!
