So IA 13 has just been announced and pre-orders are going on from Warhammer Fest. I've not dipped into the IA book series yet but am really excited to see what they are offering to give me the chance to grow my CSM & Daemon forces.
Anyone else share my enthusiasm or know of the IA books are any good from past experience?

Dan,
I can tell you now that this book is vile. In the very best way! All the tanks that Loyalist Marines can have now have a chaos variant. The rules for the Renegade lists of Plague and Slaughter are updated and things like dreadnoughts are majorly updated.
This book will make Chaos a much more viable list again. I'm getting it ASAP.

Well I got a dispatch notice so I may have it by this Thursday. It will give me a drive to paint some more of my CSM's to expand my army which is doing alright!

Yeah man, I want to run an Emperors Children army again, a Night Lords army too, but most importantly, a Servants of Slaughter renegade list based on the Gaunt's Ghosts novels

One of the dreads in the book is a sonic one so a perfect addition for my slaanesh army!

Is it worth the dollar?

Personally I think yes. It has a host of vehicles/deamon engines that plug a 100-175 point area that fills gaps in the list an allows cool themes or differing army tactics. I mean the book is crammed with ultra big death dealing machines but these tend to be huge points and not something I'm personally interested. I'm more interested in alternative tanks, fliers and walkers to boost the current army listing. Add in a splattering of extra deamons then a rebel guard army list that looks like a lot of fun to play and I think it's worth the price tag. I already have my eyes on 2-3 vehicles that I think look good without being over powered

I'm intrigued. Part of me can't be bothered with Chaos any more, another part of me can't resist the idea of adding to my Chaos...

I think I will be slowly adding for a while to come. I used one of the chosen Deamon Princes on Sunday in an Apoc - the rules looked great until two Knights D weapons him to death....
So much for the chosen of Slaanesh!
