Before you even go there, yes, Star Wars had Jar Jar Binks. Possibly one of the worst characters ever. But did you have to sit through multiple seasons of enduring him? No Star Trek's Tasha Yar and Wesley Crusher on the other hand routinely ruined many episodes of TNG with their stupidity and uselessness First Blood in the Flame War to Star Wars

At least they were both 'killed off'.
What I love is Ewen McGregor's acting chops, such gravitas in the realisation that a stroppy teenager is being, er, a stroppy teenager, with the immortal line "I saw him kiling... younglings." I swear he's trying not to laugh when saying that.
So, make it.

If only you killed Wesley Crusher off, wouldnt want to have to correct a Trekkie but Wesley went beyond human existance exploring other planes of existance with the Traveller, at least we only promoted Jar Jar to the senate

Here's the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars
Star Trek:
Picard: "Arm photon torpedoes!" Riker: "Captain! Are you sure that's wise?" Troi: "Captain! I'm picking up conflicting feelings about this! And, it appears that you're a 'fraidy cat." Wesley: "Captain, I'm just an annoying punk, but I thought I should say something." Worf: "Captain, can I push the button? This is giving me a big Klingon warrior chubby." Giordi: "Captain, I think we should reverse the polarity on them first." Picard: "I'm so confused. I'm going to go to my ready room and look pensive."
Star Wars:
Vader: "shoot them." Crewman: "lord Vader, are you sure that's wise?" Vader: Kills first crewman with a force choke 2nd Crewman: "Firing turbolasers"

All the criticism of Star Wars has been about the prequels which we all know were bollocks. The original trilogy blows any Trek out of the water.

Sorry I have to put my oar in and say Star Wars is the bomb.
Star Trek is about working togather to try and find a solution where as star trek is about kicking the shit out of the bad guys.

See that is part of the problem in Star Wars someone starts shooting at you, you shoot back and blow them out of the sky. In Star Trek even as the ship is coming apart they try to talk it out with their attackers.
Also Star wars is just more honest where as Star Trek is all about keeping treaties and letting the federation get screwed like the fact that half the races they have encountered have cloaking technology and even though they have come up with numerious ways to detect a cloaked ship and even know how to build it they won't because they have a treaty with someone they then go to war with.
Star Wars - We know how to build a Death star with a plant busting Laser hell yeah lets build as many as we can and then screw everyone else.

See that is what I am talking about. Also Star Wars the empire has a huge army backed with loads of war machine and fighters to help fight on planet where as the federation uses starship crews who are not specialised to fight land battles with little to no fighter support and so far no vehicle support on the ground. Okay they can teleport but only if they hold the orbits or a teleport station what most people seem to detect and attack straight away.
Question how do the races in star trek actually conquer planets???
