As I contemplate a return to 40K, (a can best left unopened), I've been wondering what points level club members prefer? I used to advocate 1750 but now I see that a lot more tournaments push for 1850/2000 and many club players still prefer 1500. Lets see what you guys have to say then.

i do love a quick 1000pt game but to open a lot of army lists up it has to start at 1500pts.
i was mithering around 1750 and i am building a death korps siege list around this figure but only because of the trend and making a painted army future proof.

I play at whatever level - I like the quick 1ks but I think 1850 lets you have lots of toys and when one blows up you normally still have something else cool to mess about with

1000pts is great for a casual game but do prefer 1500

I've had more fun with 1000. The step up it becomes brutal, even more so the higher the pts. It's still fun, but I've turned up with high points of fun to be crucified by a deadly list. Similarly I have nailed other battles with a less experimental list.
