Excuse me if I'm treading on toes here , but I've got a question I'd like the answer to , can battle mages use there ability to push their own model away 1" without doing damage to it , or do they still have to do damage rolls , also can you target your own models with dots or aggressive spells

For Clarity, here's the exact wording for 'Force Bolt' from the most current version of Warroom:
(★Attack) - Force Bolt is a RNG10, POW10 magic attack. An enemy model hit by this attack can be pushed d3" directly toward or away from this model. Choose the direction before rolling the distance. On a critical hit, the enemy model is knocked down after being pushed.
Interesting...

There's nothing stopping you targeting your own models and its a valid tactic in a lot of situations. You can't however pick and choose which parts you want to use. If the attack causes damage you have to take it. You can choose forward or back for the push/pull effect but I thought it was d3 inches so would have to roll for that. If you get knocked down on a crit, that happens as well

The text Ed posted does specify "enemy model" though. I've not come across that before

The key word here is enemy. the d3" push is triggered on it hitting enemy models, as is the critical knockdown.
Hitting friendly models doesn't trigger the push effect (and may not even qualify a friendly model as a legitimate target in the first place?). At the very least the friendly model would take a POW10 damage roll...
